Fall parking permits are available now

Fall parking permits are available for purchase at akron.thepermitstore.com. The site uses UA's single sign-on (SSO) system to log users in, so your login credentials will be your university email address and password (even if you have previously created a different username/password within the permit store). Be sure to read the description of each permit carefully before making your selection. Check out our tutorial page for step-by-step instructions along with screenshots to guide you through the ordering process. The tutorial page also has answers to frequently asked questions.

If you have trouble logging in or finding the permit you are looking for, please contact Parking & Transportation Services at parking@manufacturedconsensus.net or (330) 972-7213 for assistance.

Tickets will not be written for lack of a fall permit until Wednesday, August 24th, however all other parking regulations must continue to be observed.

Retiree parking permits are available now

Retiree parking e-permits are now available at akronguest.thepermitstore.com. Check out this guide for step-by-step instructions regarding ordering your Retiree permit. These electronic permits utilize your license plate number instead of a hangtag, and they are active as soon as you complete the ordering process. This new permit is valid for 5 years, through June 2027. If you need assistance, please contact Parking & Transportation Services at parking@manufacturedconsensus.net or (330) 972-7213.

Spin Electric Scooters

Spin scooter

You've probably seen these orange and grey electric scooters at many locations. Provided by Spin, these scooters are great for quickly moving around campus or getting Downtown. They are available for anyone to rent through the Spin mobile app.

  • Download the app and create your account
  • Check the map if you need to locate an available scooter near you
  • Scan the QR code on the top of the scooter to unlock it
  • Follow campus guidelines and the rules of the road when riding
  • Park the scooter at one of the preferred locations displayed within the app to get 25 cents off of your next ride
  • Make sure to end your ride within the app when you're finished

Scooters cost $1 to unlock and 29 cents per minute of use (plus taxes and fees). All revenue goes to Spin to support the program; none comes to the University.

Check out spin.app/safety for introductory videos and additional safety-related information. Score 100% on Spin's safety quiz and they offer a promo code for your next ride.

See our Spin scooters page for answers to frequently asked questions.
